YONEX Founder Minoru Yoneyama begins manufacturing and selling wooden products in 1946 in Niigata Prefecture, Nagaoka City, Japan. They started to make badminton racquets in 1957. Shuttlecocks were produced and sold in 1965. First aluminum racquet goes on sale in 1969. For a complete history check out this link ;)
